Thanks and Gig’ em!

We are excited to have Jim Harris as our Muster speaker this year. Jim holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University. While at A&M, he was President of the Collegiate FFA, a three-year member of the Student Senate and an advisor and transportation specialist for the Parsons Mounted Cavalry. Jim currently is serving in his 33rd year as a high school Agricultural Science teacher at McMullen County ISD in Tilden, Texas. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Vocational Agricultural Teachers Association of Texas for the past 9 years. His dedication to youth and training them for competitive activities through the FFA has led to the awarding of over $380,000 in State and National FFA Scholarships to his students.

He is married to Karen Harris, Class of ’92, and they have 3 teenage children. The Harris’ are members of Pleasanton United Methodist Church.  Jim hopes to inspire Aggies everywhere to live their lives to the fullest while holding true to the core values that unite all Former Students. Program will include the awarding of the 2017 Highland Lakes A&M Foundation Scholarships to local Burnet County High School Students. We have a great program and meal planned for you this year. Attire is casual.
